"We are advising governments not to return men and women to Sudan due to the fact of the conflict which is heading on there," Elizabeth Tan, UNHCR's Director of Global Defense, instructed reporters at a briefing in Geneva.

"This applies to Sudanese nationals, to international nationals, which include refugees who are currently being hosted in Sudan, stateless folks, as effectively as all those who do not have a passport or any other type of identification," Tan stated.
