Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan on Sunday halted his ‘long-march’ for the working day following a girl Pakistani journalist, Sadaf Naeem, attending the previous key minister's celebration died following staying crushed underneath his container.
Naeem, a journalist doing work for a personal news channel, died even though the extended march was headed towards Kamoke from GT Street Lahore.
Talking to his supporters, Khan claimed the march was meant to transfer in direction of Kamoke, Gujranwala. "On the other hand, owing to the tragic incident, we will cease the march promptly."
Khan also despatched his condolences to the relatives of the deceased and claimed that he would pray for the departed soul.
“Shocked & deeply saddened by the horrible incident that led to the demise of Channel 5 reporter Sadaf Naeem for the duration of our March right now. I have no words and phrases to categorical my sorrow. My prayers & condolences go to the relatives at this tragic time. We have cancelled our March for right now,” Khan tweeted.
The extended march would begin from Kamoke on its fourth working day on Monday. Before, it was prepared to access Gujranwala by the conclusion of its 3rd working day.
Sadaf was attempting to job interview Khan for her Television channel, Dunya Television noted.
Key Minister Shehbaz Sharif, even though reacting to the demise of the journalist, claimed that he was deeply saddened by the demise of the reporter.
"Deeply saddened by the demise of reporter Sadaf Naeem following slipping from a extended march container. Can't really feel unfortunate ample more than this tragic incident. Heartfelt condolences to the relatives. Sadaf Naeem was a dynamic and hardworking reporter. We pray for endurance for the relatives of the deceased," he tweeted.
Facts minister Maryyium Aurangzeb expressed shock more than Sadaf's demise and questioned how the reporter was operate more than by the container-carrying truck applied by Khan.
"I individually know her. She was a really hard-doing work journalist and was killed even though attempting to job interview Imran Khan which is surprising,” she claimed.
PML-N vice-president Maryam Nawaz has also condemned the incident and prayed for Sadaf and her relatives.
"I am deeply saddened to listen to about the reduction of a treasured lifetime of a Television reporter Sadaf in the line of responsibility. My prayers for the bereaved relatives," she wrote in her tweet, praying for the deceased to uncover everlasting peace.
President Arif Alvi also prolonged his sympathies to the reporter's relatives.
