Russian-backed officers in 4 occupied locations of Ukraine have been keeping referendums on whether or not the regions want to be a part of Russia. The West and Ukraine has denounced the referendums as illegitimate and sham. The voting started out on Friday and will carry on for 5 times in two locations in Ukraine's east and two in the south- Luhansk, Donetsk, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia.
The voting will come at a time when Russia is on a again-foot as Ukraine's counter-offensive has recaptured territory that Moscow seized because its February invasion. A related go was purchased by Russia in Crimea in 2014 and the vote was also turned down as sham by the intercontinental group.
Is the course of action a sham?
The 4 locations included in the voting are both partly or fully beneath Russian profession with the course of action currently being denounced as unlawful by the West and Ukraine.
